I heard this song yesterday and I knew I had to address this issue…I don’t know when having standards became being stuck up. I guess in a society when so many women expect so little those that expect a lot seem over-bearing. But shit, I’m not asking for anything I’m unwilling to give, nor anything that any respectable person wouldn’t want for themselves.  I get so sick and fucking tired of men talking about how picky I am. So? Do you want a chick that is indiscriminant?  I.don’t.need.a.man.  Being in a relationship is something that I don’t have to do, so please believe that if I choose to have you in my life you will be well worth my time and energy. Especially if I’m re-routing *me* time to be with you.  Like…how is that stuck up? Thats real.  Thank you but me and the Lord keep me plenty fulfilled. I don’t need a man to make me feel like a woman of value.

I really just don’t get it, and its true that I may well never get it.  But this is my official D.O.T. letter. I have no time/patience/empathy for thirsty ass women who will do anything to get male attention. You need a damn role model.  So what your daddy wasn’t there…and?  Stop making excuses for your slutaticous behavior and take some fuckin personal responsibility. So what your last boyfriend treated you like ish..you let him. NEXT!  Everybody has had their crosses to bear…what gives you the right to say your cross is heavier?  *feels self getting angry* lemme just leave this alone….I could go on for days…
