head first
diving in
feel it crawl across my body
this new sensation
eyes wide open
deeper i fall until
the point i’ve reached
i cannot turn back
this Body is home now
i say a prayer
and breathe
lungs fill with it
stinging
not pain
just…
different
my being is drenched
logged and heavy
yet i’m weightless
floating
flying
moving with ease previously unknown
effortless
is this what it is
?
once its consumed me
taken my lungs
consumed my heart
weighed down every part
drowned.
first new breath
i take with through my fingertips
i am reborn
as part of it
as one with it
fluidly
faithfully
inexplicably
happily
drowned
in love.
